Q.  Why does my dog need grooming?
A. Grooming is essential for a variety of reasons including, healthy skin, cleanliness, good health, less behavioural issues as your dog feels more comfortable. We will examine your dogs for a general health check and will point out any issues that need attention.

A. Short coated dogs benefit from being groomed, as we are able to remove its dead coat and help eliminate moulting. It is also essential that their nails are clipped and their ears are cleaned, they will also benefit from a general health check.

Q. Do you groom larger breeds?
A. Yes, we have the facilities to do large breeds and we are more than happy to do them.

Q. When should I start having my puppy groomed?
A. After your pup has had two sets of vaccinations. The earlier your dog experiences being groomed the more they will enjoy it in later life, even if it’s just to bath or brush your dog out as this helps them get used to the environment and atmosphere, and the settle into a routine which causes less stress for the future.

Q. How often should my dog be clipped?
A.  We would recommend every 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the breed of your dog and type of clip required.

A. On average we allow 2.5-3 hours to groom your dog, this of course depends on several factors including coat length/condition, behaviour, size of your dog etc.

Q. Can I stay with my dog when being groomed?
A. In most cases it is better if the owner is not present while the dog is groomed as it can be distracting for the dog and cause them to misbehave, however in certain situations it may be best for you to stay with your dog
